what to look for in a martial art club

when joining any martial art club, you are entitled to know about the clubs history, and more importantly the history and qualifications the instructor has.

  1. Full enhanced CRB , Criminal Record Check .
  2. First Aid certificate, renewed every 2 to 3 years .
  3. Evidence of Blackbelt grade, from a reliable and checkable source .
  4. Personal Indemity Insurance, this should be direct form insure not a club letter headed form 
  5. Instructors certificate, again from a reliable and checkable source.

Gradings went well Saturday with a 100 % pass rate, with two students skipping a kyu grade. The Grade included basics, pad work, combinations, self defence, coach sparring, and light cont sparring, which lasted 2.5 hours. Plus certain grades had a written exam.   MMAA which to thank you to all...
